Farewell and Welcome Program of Assistant Parish Priests by YSD - ICYM

A special farewell and welcome program was organized by the YSD - ICYM on June 1, 2025, after the 9:00 AM Mass. The event began at 10:20 AM in the presence of our Parish Priest Fr. Joseph Martis, outgoing Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Kevin Dsouza, newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris and our YSD animator Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes.

The gathering commenced with a warm welcome by Royson, followed by a prayer conducted by Johanna.

As part of the farewell, Royson expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Kevin for his constant support and encouragement towards YSD. Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes also shared her appreciation and conveyed her best wishes to him for his future journey. Fr. Kevin then addressed the gathering with a few words. As a token of love and gratitude, YSD presented him with a bouquet and a personalized frame.

Following this, we officially welcomed Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris to our parish. Royson introduced him to the YSD members and briefed him about our unit’s activities. Fr. Steevan shared a few words, introducing himself to everyone. Our Parish Priest, Fr. Joseph Martis, also spoke a few encouraging words. Fr. Steevan Nelson was then welcomed with a bouquet.

The program concluded at 11:00 AM with the ICYM anthem, marking a beautiful end to a meaningful gathering.
