A Meaningful Beginning to Advent: CLC Members Visit Jeevandhan Ashram
The members of Senior CLC visited AIDS Ashram Jeevandhan at Gurpur, Kaikamba, on 30th November 2025. Fourteen members of Senion CLC set out from Derebail at 2.30PM and reached the Ashram by 3PM, where they were warmly welcomed by the nuns who offer their services there.
A short programme was then held at the Ashram Hall. The children, each blessed with unique talents, delighted the visitors with their lively dance and singing performances.
From the Senior CLC, Ms. Sabitha Fernandes, Mrs. Florine Figreida, and Mrs. Mable Rodrigues entertained the audience with a graceful dance. This was followed by a friendly round of antakshari between the children and the CLC members, filling the hall with laughter and enthusiasm. A joyful baila dance added to the merriment.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, the nuns and the children thanked the visitors for their presence. Mrs. Juliet D'silva delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the CLC members. Refreshments were served to all by CLC members. The members also contributed certain grocery items to support the ashram.
The nuns also briefed the group about the services and the day-to-day functioning of the Ashram. After a meaningful and enriching visit, the members left the Ashram at 5 PM.
The visit marked a noble beginning to the season of Advent, reminding everyone that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference.
