A Day of Leisure and Relaxation: Women's Association Picnic to Six Star Resort

The Women's Association of Derebail Parish embarked on a day's  picnic for its members on 5th Feb 2026 at Six Star Resort, Thannirbhavi. A total of 20 members participated in this outing.

The group assembled at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail at 8.45 AM and reached the Resort at  9.15 AM.  The journey began with a short prayer.  Upon arrival, breakfast was arranged for all the members.

After a nourishing breakfast,  a brief meeting was conducted by the President Mrs. Dora Dcunha. The Secretary Mrs. Juliana Coelho read the minutes of the meeting and Treasurer Mrs. Celine Correa presented the accounts.

After the meeting, games and housie housie were conducted. The winners were awarded with cash prizes.

After a sumptuous lunch, the members set out swimming and spent quality time enjoying the dip and swim in the pool  followed by rain dance. 

The picnic was well organised and it provided opportunity for relaxation, bonding and joyful interaction among the members.

The members started their journey from the resort at 5.00 PM with a tea break arranged en route and reached Derebail Parish  at 5.30 PM.

Overall the picnic was a memorable and refreshing experience for all the members.
