Pavsa Gammath: Kapikad Ward Members Savour Rainy Season Delicacies

The members of Kapikad Ward came together for their ward meeting and for the celebration of Pavsa Gammath at the residence of Mrs.Terry Pais on 9 July, 2023 at 5.30 PM. Mr.Edward Coelho, the Gurkar, along with Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, the Parish Priest and Rev.Fr.Kevin Lawrence D'Souza, Assistant Parish Priest were the dignitaries present.

After the ward meeting, the ward members celebrated Pavsa Gammath, where everyone relished the seasonal delicacies of the monsoon. Around 19 dishes were cooked by the ward members in their respective houses and then served at the meeting.

Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, Rev.Fr.Kevin Lawrence D'Souza, Bro. Mari Swamy, Bro.Loywin Rodrigues, Sr.Maria Aranha and Sr.Shalini D'Souza were among the dignitaries present.

Mrs.Terry Pais extended a hearty welcome to the gathering. Mr.Sylvestrr Dcunha conducted the meeting as Prerak. Fr.Kevin Lawrence said grace before meals and invoked God's blessings on the families of all the ward members.

The ward members relished the delicacies that was served.  Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis appreciated and thanked the ward members for the support, love and unity that they displayed during their ward meetings and special events like Pavsa Gammath. He closed the celebration by singing the Latin Hymn Laudate Dominum.

The celebration was a grand success as it had brought happiness and smiles on everyones faces.
