Monthi Fest Celebrated by Landlinks Upper Ward Members

The members of the Landlinks Upper ward celebrated Monthi Fest (Nativity of Blessed Mary) on 18th September, 2022 on the terrace of Mr. Stany and Mrs Anitha Pinto.  The event started at 6.45 pm. The Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis and Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto graced the occasion with their presence. Mr.Ronald Sequeira led the prayer service with which the programme began. Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis reflected on the verse that was read from the Holy Bible. Both the priests congratulated the ward members . Soon after the prayer, Rev.Fr.Jospeh Martis along with Rev.Fr.Gerald Pinto and Ward Gurkarn inaugurated the Ward Monthi feast by lighting the candles that were kept in front of Mother Mary's statue. 

The ward members felicitated the students who had performed well in their academics in the last two years. The ward members also greeted all those who have their birthdays and wedding anniversaries in the month of September .

The most important part of the celebration was of having the novem like one big family. The ward members along with the priests then had ‘novem’ in Badam Milk. 

A short cultural programme was then presented by the members of the ward. To keep the event lively Mrs.Irene Mascarenhas conducted many games . Prizes were distributed.

The grand celebration ended with the tasty dinner that all the ward members had prepared.
Mr. Francis Mascarenhas gave thanks to each and every one who helped in celebrating this grand event. Also, Ward Gurkarn, Mrs. Wilma Cardoza felicitated Mr. Stany and Mrs. Anitha Pinto for their generosity in lending their premise for the evening.

Mr.Ronald Vaz, an active member of the ward, compered.

About 65 members of the ward participated in the celebration.
