TAIZE 2020

On the occasion of lent it was a call for everyone to come and strengthen their faith and experience God's divinity with special intentions for the youth who are preparing for their exams, to cope  with stress and be able to answer their exams well with emotional strength. Also, prayers of healing were recited bearing in mind the disturbance caused by the Corona virus.The Taize Service was organized by the Yuva Spandan (YSD/ICYM)  at the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail at 06:30 PM on 14th March 2020.

The Altar was decorated and well lit with candles around the Crucifix. Taize service began with hymns and chants being repeated one after the other followed by prayer of the faithful and a reading from the Gospel being recited for contemplation. It turned out be an occasion to prepare for the passion,death and Resurrection of our Lord. Rev Fr.Gerald Pinto laid the cross down for personal adoration.

The entire prayer service was led by Mr Norbert Misquith along with the youth choir. The service ended at 8.00pm.
