Fr. Vincent Menezes takes charge as parochial administrator Back

The arrival of the Parochial Administrator Rev.Fr.Vincent Victor Menezes was scheduled to be on the eve of the 25th of October, 2015.  Rev.Fr.Vincent Victor Menezes arrived at 4.P.M from Bendore Parish. The Assistant Parish Priest Rev Rr. Anil. Lobo welcomed Fr Vincent Menezes with a garland along with Mr Anil Patrao (Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council) and Mr. Edward Coelho (Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council). The ceremony of Welcome was led by Fr.Naveen Pinto. The ceremony was started with a prayer session headed by Fr Naveen. The new parochial administrator Fr.Vincent read a reading from the book of Colossians. He said that each priest is called to reflect the person of Christ and he promised to strive to live up to  this during his service in Most Holy Redeemer Church. Fr.Anil Lobo then handed over the keys of the Blessed Sacrament to Fr.Vincent Menezes. Then Fr. Anil. Lobo formally handed over the Accounts file and the register that contained the names of the parishioners and their details to Fr. Vincent. This was done in a solemn manner as a symbol of officially handing over and making Fr.Vincent Menezes incharge of the Parish.

Rev.Fr.Antony Serrao, Parish Priest Bendoor, gave the Derebail Parishioners an insight into the person of Rev.Fr.Vincent Menezes. To him Fr Vincent  is an Encyclopedia and a “Walking Bible”. According to Fr Antony , Derebail Parish will have an enriching experience in their spiritual life with the knowledge that Fr.Vincent has managed to procure all these years. The entire proceeding of welcoming the Parochial Administrator went on smoothly. Mr Anil Patrao rendered the Welcome Address. Fr. Anil. Lobo in his Vote of thanks, expressed his sincere gratitude towards all the parishioners for their constant support.
