Celebration of Parish Feast at Most Holy Redeemer Church. Back

Celebration of Parish Feast at Most Holy Redeemer Church.

The first Sunday of every November is celebrated as the parish feast of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail.  Parishioners throng within the church compound to participate both in the Eucharistic Celebration and in the games that are conducted within the church premise. This year, the parish feast was celebrated on the 1st of November. The focus of this year's celebration was to facilitate and bring together more parishioners in honour of the Most Holy Redeemer. Hence, masses were offered at 7, 8.30, 10, and 11.30 AM.   The Parishioners did follow the Covid protocol by attending the mass according to the schedule assigned to their respective wards. Prayers were also offered to saints as November 1st is observed as All Saints Day. The Homily highlighted the need for all Catholics to follow and emulate the lives of saints and martyrs. The melodious choir added to the festivity.

At the end of the ceremony, the parish priest Rev Fr Austin Peres, along with Resident Priest Fr Gerald extended their warm wishes to all the parishioners.
