Parish Pastoral Council Bids Farewell to Fr Austin Peres

At the end of its scheduled meeting on 2nd May 2022, the Parish Pastoral Council members bid farewell to the outgoing Parish Priest Fr Austin Peter Peres.  In the farewell address, the Vice President of the PPC, Mrs Sheila D’Souza recalled the self-less dedicated service of Fr Austin in his tenure of 6 years for the betterment of the entire parish.  She appreciated his friendly and helpful nature and willingness to mingle with parishioners of all ages.  The Vice President wished that the Most Holy Redeemer, our patron bless Fr Austin with good health, and strength of mind and body in his future mission wherever he goes.
As token of appreciation, Mr Edward Coelho presented Fr Austin a shawl, Fr Gerald Francis Pinto a turban, Mr Gaulbert Pais a flower garland, and Sr Bernice offered a gift to Fr Austin.
In his response Fr Austin thanked the PPC members, past and present for their constant support and good-will towards all parish activities and asked for same support to be extended to the new Parish Priest in days to come.
The PPC Secretary Mr Gaulbert Pais delivered the vote of thanks.  Following the prayer over meal by Fr Austin, everyone shared the fellowship dinner.
