Catholic Sabha Picnic 2022

The annual picnic of Catholic Sabha Derebail unit was held on 20.02.2022, Sunday after a gap of few years. 

The picnic group of about 75 persons consisting of members, families and friends, set out by bus at around 9.30 am from church after a  sumptuous breakfast to the picnic destination  - the blue flag certified Padubidri beach and exclusively booked Kamini Island.

Once on the island, after a brief customary monthly meeting,  the revelry began. Fun, frolic, music, dance, games, delicious food and much more was part of the event.

Nelson Castelino,  the Samuday Abivruddi  Sanchalak of the unit was the convener of the picnic which witnessed excellent organisation and impeccable arrangements. Pramila Furtado, Joint Secretary,  conducted the games which were the highlight of the picnic. Sheela D'Souza,  Vice President  managed the entire picnic. President Anil Patrao, Secretary Dora D'Cunha and Treasurer Vilma Monteiro chipped in with useful support.
 
After an eventful time in the island,  the group came back to the beach in the evening for an enjoyable time on the sand and sea and a glorious sunset. Departing the beach around 6.30 pm,  the group reached Derebail church at around 7.30 pm.

The picnic was organised with individual contributions by the participants and some generous contributions by select ones.

All in all it was a wonderful experience which will linger in the memories for a long time.
