MONTHI FEST CELEBRATION IN LANDLINKS WARD

Landlinks ward families came together on Sunday, 14th September 2025, at 6 PM to celebrate the feast of Nativity at the residence of Mrs.Margaret  Shantappa.  Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, Associate Parish Priest of the parish graced the occasion.

The event began with a hymn honouring The Holy Cross.Mrs Jyothi of the host family welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the 7-step vaadya zamaath which was conducted by Mr Charles Oswald Monis. After the concluding hymn Sakkad Sangathan Melyan a brief reflection and prayer on the Exaltation of The Holy Cross was led by Mr Ephrem Castelino.

Then the celebration of the MONTHI FEST began. Mrs Renilda Mascarenhas conducted various games which everyone enjoyed and helped in keeping the gathering in good humour and high spirits. Much to the delight of those present, Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris was involved in the ongoing activities and enjoying every minute of it.  Special attraction was the singing of Marian Hymns individually by participants.  Prizes were distributed to the winners.

Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris addressed the gathering and spoke of diversity and unity of our ward which consisted of Konkani, English, Kannada and Malayalam speaking parishioners who have come together to celebrate Monthi Fest.   He appreciated the liveliness and involvement of the members and wished us well.

The highpoint of this coming together was the Festal Fellowship Meal wherein mouth watering savouries were prepared in different kitchens of the ward members, brought over, shared and this sumptuous meal was relished by all.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira, Gurkar of Landlinks did the thanksgiving honours.
