Konchady Ward II – Ward Meeting Led by Children

The ward Meeting of Konchady Ward II was held at the residence of Mr Joel & Mrs Anisha Concessao on 19.4.2026 at 4.30pm. The meeting was conducted by the children of the ward. It was led by Miss Andrea Sequeira and the meeting began with a warm welcome by the ward Gurkarn Mrs Meena Lobo. Master Jaden Concessao extended a warm welcome to the Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris by offering a rose. The Word of God was taken from the first letter of Peter chapter 1:3-9 which was read by Miss Priyal Concessao. The children recited the personal prayers and the first part of the meeting was ended by reciting “Our Father”.
The second part of the meeting was commenced by presenting the report of the last meeting. A birthday cake was cut to wish the ward members who are celebrating their birthdays in the month of April especially Master Jaden Concessao. Miss Viola Sequeira was honoured for securing 95% marks in II year PUC.  Fr Steevan Nelson Peris in his message appreciated the way the meeting was conducted and the enthusiasm of the ward members. Fr Steevan Nelson Peris suggested that once or twice a year children can be given chance to lead the ward meeting so that they can come more closer to Jesus.
Mrs Meena Lobo thanked Fr Steevan Nelson for his active participation in the meeting and all ward members especially the children for making the meeting a fruitful one. A few games were conducted for children by Mr Jerry Concessao and prizes were distributed. All went home happy. The total members present were 37 and the children present were 10.
