Konchady Ward celebrated Pavsa Gammath 2023

On the 30th of July, 2023 at 6.00 PM members of Konchady Ward celebrated Pavsa Gammath 2023 at the residence of Mr Alwin and Mrs Cynthia Carvalho. Rev Fr Joseph Martis - Parish Priest, Rev Fr Kevin Dsouza - Assistant Parish Priest, Rev Fr Gerald Francis Pinto, Br Vikas Pereira, Br Mariswamy, Sr Maria and Sr Shalini from St Ann's Convent, Mrs Sheela Dsouza - Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council and Gurkar of Konchady Ward, Mr Denzil Pinto - Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Anil Patrao - 21 commission coordinator, 35 adults and 9 children were present. Mr Alwin Carvalho welcomed the gathering.

The celebration began with a hymn led by the ward members, followed by reading of the Holy Bible and prayer. A short ward meeting was conducted. The ward members who celebrate their birthday in the month of July were wished with a wishing song. The guests and family members were personally welcomed by Rev Fr Joseph Martis with a flower. On the occasion of Elders Day, Mrs Lilly Dsa, the eldest member of Konchady Ward was felicitated. Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis congratulated the ward members for participating in the programme as one family and then said the grace before meals.

The members of Konchady Ward prepared various delicacies of the monsoon season. There were a total of 24 dishes. Everyone enjoyed the evening by having supper together. The programme concluded with a baila dance.
