Youth CLC Organizes Baal Derebail 2025

Baal Derebail 2025, a vibrant celebration of young talent, was successfully organized by the Youth CLC of The Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, on April 20th. The event provided a joyful platform for children to showcase their creativity and build confidence.

Held at the Jubilee Hall, Derebail, the programme welcomed 18 enthusiastic participants from two age groups: 3–5 years and 5–6 years. The evening commenced with a soulful prayer song, setting a serene atmosphere. Ms. Preethi Pais, compered the formal inauguration. 

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the unveiling of the invitation, followed by the thrilling reveal of the coveted trophies.

The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, who offered his blessings and wished all the young participants well. In his inspirational message  he said this event is a beautiful platform for our children to explore and express the gifts that God has graciously bestowed upon them. Also he extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants, their parents, and Youth Christian Life Community (YCLC) for their dedicated efforts in organizing this wonderful event and providing a platform for children to showcase their God-given talents. May this show inspire our children to dream big, shine brightly, and grow in faith and fellowship. Also present were Ms. Sheela D’Souza, the Vice President of the PPC, Mr. Denzil Pinto, the Secretary of the PPC and the animator of the YCLC. Mr. Rovin D'Souza President of the YCLC, Ms. Reenal Menezes Secretary of YCLC  Ms. Jovita Rodrigues Coordinators and Mr. Shaun Monteiro Convenor of this event.  President of YCLC warmly welcomed the gathering. The event coordinator graciously delivered the vote of thanks. Mr. Cherish Pinto treasure of YCLC, presented the sponsors list, while Fr. Joseph Martis symbolically bestowed upon them a token of appreciation a rose.

The young contestants enthusiastically participated in three engaging and fun-filled rounds: a vibrant ramp walk, a talent showcase where they sang, danced, or recited poems, and an interactive quiz segment featuring picture guessing alongside a spiritual question. The performances were thoughtfully judged by Ms. Roshal Sharol Fernandes and Mr. Chris Crasta, representing the judging panel, Ms. Roshal Fernandez expressed her happiness at being a part of Baal Derebail. She emphasized that every child is unique and talented in their own special way and appreciated the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the participants.  Ms. Leeza Rodrigues compered the entire event.

The evening was further enriched by captivating performances, including a graceful dance by the Legion of Mary and a melodious group song by the Boy's Choir. The audience was kept engaged with fun-filled activities like Housie Housie and spot games, complemented by the lively music of DJ Ralph.

5–6 Years Category:
Baal Derebail: Kaelyn Anthonia D’Souza, KARTC ward 
Runner-Up: Rihanna Sara Lasrado, Parapade Hills ward.

5-6 Years:

All the young participants were recognized for their enthusiastic involvement and delightful performances with the presentation of certificates and attractive gift hampers.

The joyous celebration concluded with the Baila dance, bringing a heartwarming and memorable Baal Derebail 2025 to a close, leaving smiles and cherished memories with everyone present. The event truly highlighted the wonderful talents of the young children.
