Celebration of Pavsa Gammath at Kapikad Ward 2026

On Sunday, July 19th, 2026 the members of Kapikad ward gathered for a ward meeting and Pavsa Gammath celebration with great enthusiasm and devotion at the residence of Mrs. Cynthia Correa. The dignitaries present were Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Brother Prajwal, Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice President Mr. Denzil Fernandes, Secretary Mrs. Clotilda DSouza, Co-ordinator of Commissions  Mrs. Pramila Furtado and the families of Kapikad Ward .

Mrs.Cynthia Correa welcomed the august gathering and Mr.Edward Coelho conducted the meeting as Prerak. Mr.Sylvester D'Cunha read the minutes of the previous meeting. Then the Gurkar Mrs Juliana Coelho reviewed the services carried out after the last meeting and the service for upcoming month was also decided. The Gurkar felicitated the members celebrating their birthdays in the month of July 2026. Brother Prajwal shared two beautiful moral stories which  were enjoyed by all. Then all the members sang Samudhay Geeth which was heart touching.

The ward Gurkar gave an introductory speech and welcomed the guests with flowers. The elderly members aged above 75 years who had attended the meeting -  Mrs. Hidla Dsouza, Mr.Joseph Pais and Mr. Sylvester DCunha, were  felicitated by the Parish Priest.  Mr.Sandesh Mascarehas, Mr.Alwyn Rasquinha and Mr.Edward Coelho, were honoured by the Parish Priest for their service in SIR - related work with BLO.

 Mrs.Patricia Mendonca read out the list of  22 delicious  dishes  prepared by the ward  members.   Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis addressed the gathering with an inspiring message and congratulated the ward members and the leaders for organising the wonderful event. 

 Mr. Manuel Monis proposed the vote of thanks. Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis concluded the meeting with prayers, invoking blessings on the food and participants and inaugurated the meal. All enjoyed the delicious food together. The event was a grand success and enjoyed by all.
