Youth CLC - INTERWARD MARIAN SKIT COMPETITION-2018 Back

Christian Life Community(CLC)-Youth unit, Derebail organized an Inter-ward Marian Skit Competition for parishioners on July 29 2018.

The Competition resumed with a formal programme at 3:00pm in the church hall, with a prayer dance, followed by the Inaugural ceremony. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres, Residential priest Fr. Gratian Alvares, Vice-president and Secretary of the Parish council Mr. Edward Coelho and Mrs. Lizzy Fernandes along with the animators of Youth CLC Mr. Ullas D Costa and Mr. Gerald Concessao were Dignitaries. The competition commenced at 3.30 pm. Parishioners gave their best performance based on the allotted titles of Mother Mary, and the apparitions.

Fr. Alwyn Sequeira, Fr. Maxim D Souza, and Fr. Gratian Alvares judged the competition. The formal programme, was compered by Mr. Deon Dsouza, Co-ordinators, Ms. Carol D'souza, welcomed the gathering, Ms. Suman Pinto, introduced the Judges and Vote of thanks was delivered by the President, Mr. Joel Sequeira.Sponsors were Felicitated along with the judges in course of the competition. The winners were awarded with attractive cash prizes. Participating wards were also honoured at the end of Competition.

Winners list is as follows:

First Place - Derebail Ward

Second Place - Konchady II Ward

Third Place - Konchady I Ward

Consolation prizes – Church Ward and Parapade Upper Ward.

The competition however had a grand success, giving each one an example to lead a life pleasing to God, thus justifying the theme “Travelling in the footsteps of Mother Mary towards Redemption”.
