ANNUAL RETREAT 2025

To deepen their faith and strengthen their bond with Jesus during Lent, parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, gathered for a three-day annual retreat led by Rev. Fr. Alban D'Souza, Rector of St. Lawrence Basilica, Attur. The retreat took place from March 31 to April 2, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, drawing large crowds who demonstrated their devotion and trust in the Lord.

 The first day, the theme centered around the importance of reading the Word of God. The preacher emphasized the significance of reading the Bible as a means of deepening our relationship with God, gaining wisdom, and finding guidance in our daily lives.

 On the second day, confessions were held. The preacher delivered a powerful message on the theme of reconciliation. He emphasized the importance of reconciling with God, with ourselves, and with others. 
​
On the third and final day of the retreat, the preacher focused on the theme of family. He emphasized the importance of building strong, God-centered families and encouraged us to prioritize our relationships with our loved ones.
​
 During the adoration, we prayed particularly for children and youth, who are the future pillars of the church.
​The choir, under the guidance of Mr. Anil Patrao, added to the solemnity of the retreat. 
​
The retreat ended with a word of gratitude by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis. He thanked everyone for actively participating in the retreat.
​
The Annual Retreat was a successful and impactful event. It provided parishioners with an opportunity to reflect, grow, and connect both spiritually and personally.
