Special Adoration for Children at Derebail

In a spirit of deep faith and trust in the Lord, a special Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament was held at Derebail Church on Friday, 6 February, under the aegis of the Commission for Liturgy. The sacred celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 5.30 p.m., followed by a prayerful time of Eucharistic Adoration.
Rev. Fr Joseph Martis, the Parish Priest, led the Adoration and, in his introduction, lovingly reminded the faithful that this special moment of prayer was offered for the children preparing for their final examinations. Recalling the tender invitation of Jesus, “Let the children come to me,” he invited the gathered community to place all the children at the feet of the Eucharistic Lord, trusting in His blessing, guidance, and grace for their studies and future.
The Adoration was deeply reverent and prayerful, enriched by soul-stirring hymns, readings from the Psalms, heartfelt intercessory prayers, and a special prayer of total surrender for the children into the loving hands of Jesus. Parents, teachers, and parishioners joined together in faith, entrusting the children’s efforts and anxieties to the Lord.
At the conclusion of the Adoration, all the children were individually blessed by the Parish Priest, together with the Assistant Priest, Rev. Fr Nelson. The entire experience was a truly grace-filled and consoling moment, strengthening the faith of both the children and their parents, and renewing their confidence in God’s loving providence.
