Setting Priorities for a Meaningful Life: Special Lecture for Young Children by Rev. Fr. Leo Lasrado
On 2nd August 2026 a general catechism session was conducted for children from grade 5 to grade PUC . Rev. Fr Leo Lasrado, Director, Catholic Board of Education, delivered an hour's motivational talk on time management and educational guidance for the children.
In his inspiring talk Fr Leo Lasrado emphasized that every person should have clear priorities in life. He reminded the children that God has gifted everyone with the same 24 hours each day and that time should be used wisely and responsibly.
With the help of the few children Fr Leo Lasrado conducted an interesting activity to demonstrate the importance of giving first place to the most important things in life. Through this activity the children learnt that when priorities are set correctly they can experience fullness and joy in daily lives, as children within their families, school and church. He encouraged the children to practice these values so that they may become better sons and daughters responsible children and good members of the society. He urged them to be an inspiration to others and to grow into a wonderful persons. Just as the jar becomes complete when it is filled with colourful balls, pebbles, confetti and water in the right order.
The motivational talk concluded at 8:50 a.m. leaving the children inspired and encouraged to look at life positively and make the best use of their time.
