‘Prathibha Puraskar’ and Seminar on ‘Amazing Capabilities of Adolescents’ at Derebail Church

Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh ®, Derebail Unit, Mangalore in association with Education Commission and Family Commission organized a programme - ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ and a seminar on ‘Amazing Capabilities of Adolescents’  on Sunday 18 September,2022 at 10:15 am at Derebail Church Meeting Hall.
The programme commenced with a Prayer Song.
Mr. Naveen Pais, Co-Ordinator of the programme extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and the august gathering.   The Chief Guest Very Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, Guests of Honour Rev.Sr.Valsa John and Mr.Rodney Ralph Pinto, Resource Person Dr.Caroline D’souza , President of Catholic Sabha Mr. Anil Patrao, Parish Council Vice President Mrs. Sheela D’souza and Secretary Mr.Gaulbert Pais, Co-ordinator of 21 Commissions Mr.Edward Coelho, Convenor of Family Commission Mr.Cyprian D'Souza, Convenor of Education Commission  Mr.Francis Mascarenhas, Secretary of Catholic Sabha Mrs. Juliana Coelho and the Co-ordinator of the Programme Mr. Naveen Pais were on the dais. 

Mr. Anil Patrao introduced the Resource Person Dr.Caroline D’Souza who gave an impactful talk on ‘Amazing Capabilities of Adolescents’ for the students from Grade 7 to YCS. The talk was followed by a Question and Answer session during which the Resource Person answered the queries of the participants. All the participants and their parents benefited from this informative session. Dr. Caroline D’Souza was honoured with a flower plant by the President.

After the lecture,  the ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ was awarded to 66  achievers. A rose, certificate and a memento was presented to the achievers. Academic achievements from SSLC to Post Graduation and various other achievements in Sports and Professional accomplishments were duly recognised and felicitated.

 Mr. Rodney Ralph Pinto was felicitated for clearing C.A.  Mr. Rodney Pinto shared his insights and narrated his journey of learning and preparation for C.A. 

 Rev.Sr Valsa John congratulated  all the achievers and wished the young generation  a humble and respectful life.  
 
Very Rev.Fr Joseph Martis in his Presidential address congratulated all the parents and the students for their hardwork and sacrifice. He encouraged the participants to think and live positively and work towards attaining their goals.  He thanked the Organisers and supporters on behalf of the Parish for conducting the programme .

Mrs.Juliana Coelho rendered the vote of thanks. 

The Programme was compered by Mr. Francis Mascarenhas.
The programme concluded with a hymn.

Refreshment was arranged for all  225 Participants.
