Pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health, Velankanni

The parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail embarked on a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health, Velankanni, from 18th to 21st October. The four-day pilgrimage brought together 103 parishioners and was a deeply enriching experience, strengthening their faith, devotion, and hope.

The pilgrimage included visits to the holy shrines and the recitation of the rosary at this sacred place. The pilgrims were privileged to participate in a Holy Mass celebrated in Konkani by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Parish Priest of Derebail, assisted by Fr. Anil, Parish Priest of Narampady, and Fr. Raymond, OCD, Spiritual Director of the Shrine. The visits to the various churches and shrines offered the pilgrims an opportunity to deepen their faith and experience profound devotion associated with Velankanni, a special destination of pilgrimage for countless faithful.
This pilgrimage was more than just a journey to a holy place; it was an opportunity to grow closer to God, strengthen their devotion to Mother Mary, and build lasting bonds of friendship and fellowship. It was truly a blessed experience that will remain in their hearts for years to come.

The entire group expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Lord and to Mother Mary for their abundant blessings. The pilgrims also conveyed their sincere appreciation to all those who organised the pilgrimage and contributed to its success. It was, indeed, a joyful, spiritually enriching, and memorable experience for everyone.
