Inauguration of the Jubilee Year 2025 at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail

The inauguration of the preparations of the Jubilee Year, 2025 and the unveiling of the logo was done on 26 November, 2023 after the 7 AM mass. The inauguration was held on the day that celebrated the Solemnity of Christ the King. 

The Assistant Parish Priest, Rev.Fr.Kevin along with the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council Mrs.Sheela D'Souza, Secretary PPC Mr.Denzil and Coordinator of 21 Pastoral Commissions Mr.Anil Patrao officially unveiled the Jubilee logo. The entire congregation joined in reciting the Jubilee Prayer. 

Holy Father Pope Francis has invited the whole church to prepare for the celebration of Jubilee 2025 with the proposed theme "Pilgrims of Hope". 

The Holy Father has presented two ways to prepare for the Jubilee: Year of Learning and Year of Prayer. 
During the Year of Learning, one is asked to learn specifically the four constitutions of the Vatican Council. In the Year of Prayer, we are asked to discover the wealth of prayer and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Moreover the Jubilee is also an opportunity to pay special attention towards the poor and less privileged.

The inauguration began on an optimistic note with the hope that the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church would actively participate in the act of learning and praying, thereby truly adhering to the Holy Father's words
