Get Together of the Missionary Childhood Association, Derebail Parish Back

The Missionary Childhood Association of Derebail Parish had a joyful gathering on Saturday, 12th October 2024, in the Parish Meeting Hall. Approximately 50 children came together for this heartwarming event. The session began with a hymn to the Holy Spirit, led by Fr. Joseph Martis, the Parish Priest.

Mrs. Sheela, the Vice President, and Mr. Anil Patrao, the Convener of the 21 Pastoral Commissions, shared their inspiring messages with the children. In his address, Fr. Joseph spoke about the significance of being young missionaries and the importance of spreading the message of Christ through small, everyday acts. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a close relationship with Jesus, who has a special love for children.

Fr. Kevin, the Associate Priest, engaged the children with interactive sessions, encouraging them to be Christ’s messengers at home, in school, and within the Church community. Mr. Oswald D’Souza, the Coordinator of the Commission for Proclamation Apostolate, offered practical guidance on how to live as missionary children. Mrs. Felcy Pansanha, a member of this commission, assisted in organizing the event and provided valuable support throughout.

The gathering was a joyful, enlightening, and enriching experience. The children left feeling inspired and motivated to become little apostles for Christ in their daily lives.
