Feast of St.Cecelia

The Feast of St.Cecelia, the Patron Saint of Music and Musicians is celebrated on 22 November. The members of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail celebrated this feast on 19 November, 2022 with a Thanksgiving Mass at 5 PM followed by a get together in the Church Meeting Hall.

The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by the members of the Youth Choir. The President of The Choir, Mrs. Sheela D'Souza welcomed the dignitaries and the other members. Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, Parish Priest, appreciated the selfless service that the members of the Choir render in the liturgy. He also mentioned that Music is Heaven and that without music life is meaningless.

Mrs. Laveena Quadros presented the Annual Report of the Choir. Mrs.Juliana Coelho presented the Annual Accounts.

Mrs.Sheela D'souza then formally handed over the charge to the newly elected Choir President Mrs.Juliana Coelho, Secretary Mrs Sunitha Pinto and Treasurer Mrs.Lydia Dcosta. The Choir Group Photo was then clicked.

Mrs. Juliet Moras recited a poem that was composed for the occasion. Chelsia Castelino too recited a poem. Reon Pinto entertained the audience with his solo performance.

The members of Children's Choir and Senior Choir sang Maando. 

Fr.Gerald Pinto prayed Grace before meals. The choir members enjoyed their dinner together. 

Mrs. Jonita compered. Mrs. Lavina Quadros gave the Vote of Thanks.
