Farewell to Rev. Fr. Kevin Lawrence Dsouza

On 1st June 2025, Derebail parishioners came together for a heartfelt farewell programme, in the honour of Rev. Fr. Kevin Lawrence Dsouza. The programme was held after the 7:00 AM Mass. The sendoff programme was a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for Fr. Kevin’s dedicated service to the parish.

Mr. Denzil Pinto, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, read out the Maan Patra (Citation), acknowledging Fr. Kevin's contributions and role in the parish.
Fr. Kevin was then honoured with a shawl by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Nelson Peris, Vice President of PPC Mrs. Sheela D’Souza, Secretary Mr. Denzil Pinto, and Coordinator of the 21 Commissions Mr. Anil Patrao. Fr. Kevin was also presented with a small memento as a token of gratitude and love from Derebail Parish.

Fr. Joseph Martis addressed the gathering with a few words of heartfelt appreciation, highlighting Fr. Kevin’s pastoral commitment and spiritual leadership.
In his address to the parishioners, Fr. Kevin expressed his sincere thanks with a joyful heart. He extended his gratitude to all parishioners and well-wishers for their unwavering support and cooperation during his ministry in Derebail.

Fr. Kevin will be moving to Kripa Sadhana Formation House on Monday, 2nd June 2025, to continue his mission. As he embarks on this new journey, he carries with him the prayers, love, and blessings of the entire Derebail parishioners.
