Farewell to Fr. Vincent Menezes, the Parochial Administrator Back

“Parting is a sweet sorrow; but all meetings do end in partings.”

After serving Most Holy Redeemer Church for a period of seven months, it was time for the parishioners to bid farewell to their Parochial Administrator Rev.Fr. Vincent Menezes. A formal farewell ceremony was organized in the honour of Fr. Vincent V Menezes on the 29th of May, 2016 after the 7.00 AM mass. The member of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Ullas D'costa welcomed the gathering and spoke a few words on the service that Fr. Vincent Menezes had rendered in Most Holy Redeemer Church. Edward Coelho, the Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council spoke a few words describing the work and nature of Fr. Vincent. Then, Fr. Anil Lobo, the Asst. Parish Priest spoke a few words on Fr. Vincent and also wished him all the regards for his future mission. It was then time for Fr. Vincent Menezes to speak his heart out. Fr. Vincent elaborated on how he was able to do a lot of work in Derebail. Fr. Vincent then thanked the parishioners for their unfailing support during his service in Derebail.. After this, all the parishioners came forward to wish Fr. Vincent..

Prior to the farewell programme, Fr. Vincent inaugurated a prayer book that was a work of two priest, Fr. and Fr. , both serving the HIV infected patients at Snehalaya. The book is a translated copy in konkani language, translated by Fr. Vincent Himself. Fr. J then thanked all the people associated with the preparation of the book and also gave token of appreciation to the concerned.
