Derebail Parish Web Team Accord's Farewell to Parish Priest Fr.Austin Peter Peres

The Parish Website Team accorded a Farewell Programme in the honour of Rev.Fr.Austin Peres, who will be very soon taking charge as the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church, Surathkal.

The farewell programme was held on 7May, 2022 at the Parish Meeting Hall. The informal programme began at 7PM with a short prayer service led by Fr. Austin Peres. 

Mr.Mike Dsilva, Creative Head of the Website welcomed the gathering.  Every member of team then shared their experience with Fr. Austin. The team jointly recollected their journey of the last 6 years with Fr.Austin Peres. 

The members were thankful to Fr.Austin for giving them the freedom to work on their own and thereby explore and grow.  The Parish Website which only recorded events went on to post news, obituaries, weekly announcements and also the soft copy of the Parish Magazine Derebailche Phul under the guidance of Fr. Austin. The Lockdown phase, as the members noted, became a time for extensive progress through the broadcast of online mass and the inauguration of the Parishioners' Corner. The members appreciated Father for his open-minded nature, his resourcefulness, humility and above all his spirit of positivity. 

The Parish Priest thanked the Web Team for their warm send-off. The heart to heart talk was indeed an enriching and overwhelming experience. Fr. Austin appreciated the work that the Web Team puts in keeping the Parish Website active. He concluded his speech by blessing the members and wishing them luck in their lives ahead. 

The members then gifted Father Austin with a collage that expressed their unity during his days in Derebail.

The members present for the meeting were Rev.Fr. Gerald Pinto, Resident Priest; Mr.Mike D'silva, Creative Head; Mr Simon Pereira and Mrs Pressy Photographer and Videographer; Mrs. Lynsha Lobo, Chief Editor and Content Writer; Mrs. Loretta Anthony, Uploader and Content Writer, Mr.Ashish Carvalho, Poster Designer and Uploader; Mr. Kevin Suares, Uploader; Mr.Amish Carvalho, Uploader and Mrs. Jasmine D'Souza, Content Writer.

Fr. Gerald said the grace before meals. The meeting ended with a fellowship meal.
