'COMMISSION FOR ENVIRONMENT COMPETITIONS' RESULTS

The Commission for Environment, Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, in association with Catholic Sabha, conducted ‘Environment Awareness Month’ Quiz Competition and Spot the Tree contest for Derebail Parishioners.

Quiz Competition on Environment: A quiz competition on the environment was conducted for catechism students from Class V to PUC. Total 138 students participated, and prizes were distributed on September 8, 2024 by Rev Fr. Ajith Menezes, in the presence of Rev Fr. Joseph Martis, Parish Priest , Rev Fr. Kevin Lawrence D’souza, Asst Parish Priest, Mrs Sheela D’souza, Vice President, Mr. Denzil Pinto, Secretary, Mr. Anil Patrao, Convenor of 21 Commissions, Mrs. Vilma Monteiro, President, Catholic Sabha, Mr Patrick Alvares, Coordinator of Commission for Environment.

The Results are as follows:

Spot the Tree: This contest was held ward wise for the parishioners. 13 Wards participated in this competition. Winners were awarded with prizes on 8th September 2024.

Winner Ward :

Gollachil with 114 types of trees
1st Runner up : Konchadi II with 109 types of trees 2nd Runner up: Chowki Ward with 108 types of trees.
