Catechists And Bible Quiz Winners Felicitated

In honour of their patron saint, St Charles Borromeo, Derebail parish felicitated the Catechists of the Sunday Catechism programme with a token gift of a rose after the Mass on 13th November.  Parish Priest Fr Joseph Martis appreciated their selfless service in strengthening our children in Faith.

This was followed by distribution of prizes to the winners of the Bible quiz (class 5 to 10) and Bible story telling contest (class 1 to 4) held earlier.  This contest was conducted as part of a deanery level initiative to encourage our children to read the Bible daily and to learn from it.  The first prize winners will proceed to participate in the deanery level finals on 18th December.
