24 Hours with the Lord: Veneration of the Blessed Sacrament
The Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail, witnessed a profound spiritual experience as it hosted a 24-hour Veneration of the Blessed Sacrament. This sacred observance commenced on the evening of Thursday, March 27, following the 5:30 PM Holy Mass, and culminated the next day with a prayer service, followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass and Adoration led by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis and Rev. Fr. Kevin Dsouza.
The responsibility of leading the hourly adoration was entrusted to the various wards of the parish. This ensured continuous prayer and reflection throughout the night and day. As multitudes of parishioners gathered in reverence at different times during the day, the essence of the Lenten season of prayer, recollection and reflection was experienced by the devotees.
This time of prayer held even greater significance as it marked the reopening of the church to the parishioners following the completion of the much-awaited roof renovation.
The 24-hour veneration was a testament to the unwavering faith of the community, bringing hearts closer to the divine and fostering a spirit of unity and devotion.
