YSD Ignite: A Fellowship Programme for the Youth, by the Youth

The YSD ICYM event, YSD Ignite, was successfully conducted on 24th May 2026 at the Meeting Hall of the Most Holy Redeemer Church. The programme commenced at 10:45 AM with the objective of bringing together youth through fellowship, interactive activities, and creating awareness about the mission and activities of ICYM. A total of 24 members participated in the event, comprising 16 girls and 9 boys.

The programme began with registration and refreshments for all participants, followed by a warm welcome by Riyona Lobo. This was followed by a prayer song to invoke blessings for the programme. An icebreaker session was then conducted by Feona Pereira, helping participants interact and engage with one another in a lively atmosphere. Tina Menezes welcomed the guest in few words.

This was followed by games conducted by Royson Fernandes and Deona Dsouza, which encouraged teamwork and active participation among the youth. Later, Christon Menezes gave a brief introduction to ICYM and explained the importance of joining the organisation, highlighting its purpose and benefits for young people.

The excitement continued with a treasure hunt conducted by Johanna Pereira, Gwen Dsouza, and Deona Dsouza, which kept participants engaged and enthusiastic throughout the activity. The programme concluded on a cheerful note with refreshments and ice cream served to all participants.

Overall, YSD Ignite proved to be an engaging and meaningful initiative that fostered unity, enthusiasm, and greater awareness about ICYM among the youth.
