Cyber Security Awareness Programme

Catholic Sabha in association with Commission for Laeity, Commision for  Social Development and Senior Citizens Club organized a Cyber Security Awareness programme on Saturday, 14th March 2026, after the 5 PM mass. The parishioners assembled within the church premises for the programme.

Mrs Pramila Furtado, the MC welcomed the gathering and briefly spoke on the significance of the programme.

The Catholic Sabha President Mr Nelson Castelino in his formal welcome address welcomed the Chief Guest SI Mallikarjuna , Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, PPC Vice President Mr Denzil Fernandes, Secretary Mrs Clotilda and the gathering. 

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis briefly addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative of organising such an important awareness programme.

SI Mallikarjun then spoke elaborately on the prevailing forms cyber crimes and how people should be careful while using mobile phones, bank transactions, OTPs, and social media. He also guided the people on how to protect themselves from online fraud.
After the talk, some members of the gathering asked questions regarding cyber safety, and the police officers patiently clarified and answered all their doubts.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs Pramila Furtado, thanking the police officers, the priest, and everyone present for their participation. With this, the Cyber Security Awareness Programme came to an end successfully.
