We all hail "Bharath Mata Ki Jai" by Reon Sylvester D Cunha Back

We all hail "Bharath Mata Ki Jai"

This is the day of Independence,
A day of remembrance,
When thousands of them had shed
Their own drops of blood.

Without any rest, they did toil,
Burning the midnight oil,
To see that the days of slavery are gone,
The force used by the invaders are none.

On 15th August 1947, a new dawn arose,
The colonial era had come to a close,
The nation saw the tricolor flag fly,
Three colours that flew high up in the sky.

After more than 200 years of being ruled by the British,
Who were nothing but cruel and selfish,
A new hope came to the nation,
After years of perseverance, this was a sensation.

Today, the legacy of freedom fighters remains,
Deep down in our heart and the Indian terrain,
They had suffered too much pain,
Their efforts never went in vain.

Many years have passed since the partition,
But India recovered and saw a revolution,
In development and Prosperity,
Various backgrounds in a ground of unity.

Now is the number seventy five,
Those memories are still alive,
By seeing the flag fly high,
We all hail "Bharat Mata ki Jai".
