Brigade Ward Celebrates Monthi Fest

Brigade ward celebrated Nativity Feast on 10 September 2024, at the party hall of Brigade Pinnacle. The event was presided over by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis. Mr. Eugene Rodrigues, the Gurkar of the ward, welcomed all the members. Mr. Brian D’Atonius beautifully compered the entire programme. Humming hymns, the Mother Mary idol was carried into the hall in a procession. By presenting flowers to Mother Mary, every ward member showed reverence. This was followed by the reading of the Gospel and prayers of the faithful by children. Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis reflected on the Gospel and recited a prayer, invoking God’s blessings on the food and every ward member.
Children performed a lovely dance in honor of Mother Mary. Mrs. Barbar Rodrigues, the senior-most ward member, was felicitated. Gifts were given to each and every child in attendance as a token of gratitude for their enthusiastic involvement in the ward programmes. The ward members enthusiastically participated in the games that were conducted 
Following the grace prayer conducted by Dr. Priyatham Kamath, the ward members took part in the Monthi Fest fellowship feast, which consisted of 11 different foods that they had personally cooked. Mrs. Sylvia Concessao thanked  all those who helped make the Nativity Feast a huge success. A total of 57 members were present for the celebration.
