Recollection of Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers at Derebail Church

A recollection programme for the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion was held on Monday, 29th March at 6.30 in the evening. The programme was organised by the Commission for Liturgy with the aim of deepening the spiritual understanding and commitment of those engaged in this important ministry.
Rev. Fr. Rohit D’Costa, the Diocesan Director of Liturgy, animated the session with an insightful input talk on the significance of the Eucharist. He beautifully underscored the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of the Church and elaborated on its profound spiritual richness. Emphasizing the sacred responsibility entrusted to Extraordinary Ministers, he highlighted their vital role in the worthy distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ, calling them to a life of reverence, devotion, and exemplary Christian witness. After the talk he gave some practical do’s and don’ts of the Extraordinary Eucharistic ministers.  
Around 32 participants took part in the recollection, making it a meaningful and grace-filled gathering. Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis and Rev. Fr. Nelson were also present on the occasion, lending their support and encouragement to the participants. Fr Joseph Martis thanked all the extraordinary ministers for their service and commitment in this sacred ministry. 
The programme concluded on a spiritually enriching note, leaving the participants renewed in their faith and strengthened in their commitment to serve at the altar with greater devotion and dignity.
