Recollection for Extra Ordinary Ministry Members by Rev.Fr. Boniface Pinto

The recollection for Extra Ordinary Ministry Members, who render special service by distributing Holy Communion during mass,  was conducted at Derebail Church on 27 March, 2022, from 5.30 to 7.30PM. 

The Parish Priest. Rev.Fr. Austin Peter Peres arranged special recollection, prayers and adoration for the Extra Ordinary Ministry Members. He extended a warm welcome the members and to Rev.Fr.Boniface Pinto, Professor, St Joseph's Seminary Mangalore, who conducted the recollection on the theme, " Don't be tired of doing good."

The recollection began with a simple prayer followed by surrendering oneself to God through the reading of the Holy Bible. He also sang bhajans and hymns inorder to intensify the meditation and recollection .

He elaborated on the role of the Ministry , which has been called to serve the church and how the members should prepare themself to serve the people of God.

Fr. Boniface requested the members to read the Word of God St Mark 1: 21 to Mark 2. The recollection ended with Adoration and Blessings from the Holy Sacrament.

About 24 members of the Extra-ordinary Ministry were present. The participants felt very happy with the recollection and prayer service.

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Austin carried out the evaluation. He thanked the Fr.Boniface for conducting a spiritually engaging service for thr Extra-Ordinary Ministry Members. He also thanks the members for their presence and participation in the recollection. 

Refreshments were served after the Recollection.
