QUEST-O-MANIA (Treasure Hunt) - YSD

Our search for an unique concept led Yuva Spandan Derebail (YSD – ICYM) members to organize ‘quest-o-mania’, a ward wise treasure hunt competition for our parishioners on 28^th of January, 2018. The main aspect behind the competition was to cover the different areas of our parish and in the meanwhile have fun.

With 13 wards participating in the competition, the treasure hunt began with an inaugural ceremony at 03:30 PM which was heralded by a short prayer and the rules being read out. Later Mr. Edward Coelho, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council and Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council and also the YSD animator opened the box which contained the official poster of quest-o-mania thus declaring it open. The first clue was then handed out to all the teams and the teams didn’t waste even a second to begin their quest. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by Maizy Fernandes, Preston Sequeira and Joylin D’ Cunha.

The clues were scattered in different areas of our parish with games and tasks interspersed in between. The YSD volunteers were all game as they too stood at different spots to conduct the tasks and cheer the participants. The last teams to arrive at different spots were eliminated thus charging up the competition. The treasure hunt came to an end with the last 4 teams reaching the final spot. It was a fun filled and energetic evening for the participants as well as the volunteers.

Ist place          -   Parapade Upper Ward

IInd place        -  Church Ward

IIIrd place        -  Parapade Lower Ward

IVth place       -   Barebail Lower Ward
