Farewell to Fr Vinod Lobo Back

“Parting is a sweet sorrow; but all meetings do end in partings.”

Most Holy Redeemer Church had welcomed Rev.Fr.Vinod Lobo, the Assistant Parish priest just a year ago and now it was time to bid him farewell. On the 24^th of May, 2015 after the 7.00 am mass, the parishioners along with the members of the Parish Pastoral Council came together for a formal farewell ceremony.  Fr. Vinod Lobo will be leaving for Pune for further studies.

Speaking on the occasion of his farewell, Mr. Anil Patrao and Mr Edward Coelho narrated their experiences of working with Fr.Vinod Lobo. Fr.Vinod Lobo was lauded for his energetic spirit and was also appreciated for having contributed a lot towards the spiritual growth of children and the youth. His key role in the divine programmes like ‘Sakath’ will never be forgotten.

In his message on this occasion, Fr. Peter said that Fr Vinod Lobo was always ready to help anyone in need. Fr Peter commended Fr. Vinod Lobo for his enthusiastic participation in all the activities of the church.

Fr. Vinod Lobo then addressed the parishioners. He spoke of all those things that had touched his heart in Derebail parish. Forgetting none in his farewell speech, he thanked and promised to keep every parishioner in his prayers. Although emotional,   Fr Vinod looked calm and composed.

The Parish Priest felicitated Fr Vinod Lobo on this occasion. Many other parishioners came forward to thank and wish him good luck.
