Annual Parish Feast: Celebration Adorns Derebail Church

The Annual feast of the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail  was celebrated on 3rd November, 2024. The Eucharistic Celebration commenced at 9 AM.
Rev. Fr. Praveen Leo Lasrado  Secretary, Catholic Educational Board, Diocese of Mangalore celebrated the Solemn Festal Mass along with Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Kevin D’souza, Assistant Parish Priest of Derebail Parish. Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto, Rev. Fr. Conel Correa, Rev. Fr. Stephan Pereira, Rev. Fr. Deep Fernandes, Rev. Fr. Thrishan D’souza and others graced the Holy mass as concelebrants.

The Homily highlighted the importance of living in a community, demonstrating one's faith and spreading love. This could be achieved only through reaching out to those in need and through prayer. This becomes the apex of carrying forward Christ's mission on earth.

Fruits, vegetables, hosts and wine were offered during mass as a token of gratitude.The youth choir added solemnity to the Eucharistic Celebration with their melodious voice.

After Eucharistic Celebration, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis expressed his gratitude to all the priests who had graced the occasion and concelebrated the mass. He thanked all the parishioners and members of various associations for their active participation in all activities throughout the year. He gave festal greetings to the entire parish community and extended warm wishes to all the parishioners.

Rev. Fr. Praveen Leo Lasrado distributed the “Candle of Honour ” to all the parishioners who had contributed towards the expense of the feast and had given Muddhoms.

The stalls put up jointly by all organizations housed many games which kept the crowd engaged and entertained. The church premise was vibrant throughout the day.
