Joyful Celebrations: Senior Citizens Club Hosts Get-together

The Senior Citizens Club - Derebail Church successfully hosted a joyous Christmas get-together event, bringing together its members, spouses, and well-wishers for an evening of merriment and celebration.

The event commenced at 5:30 PM with a Thanks giving Mass in the Church and was attended by a large gathering of seniors. The evening's festivities began by the M. C. with a Christmas note & then a prayer song by the women folks followed by a welcome address by the President of the club.

The highlight of the evening was a special Christmas message delivered by the Parish Priest & Director of the Club Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, who emphasized the importance of love, kindness, and compassion during the festive season. His inspiring words set the tone for a wonderful evening.

The entertainment segment was a major highlight of the event, featuring a range of performances that left the audience in awe. Few hilarious skits, impressive mimicry, and a beautifully enacted Christmas tableau showcased the talents of the senior members.

The dance floor was then opened, and the Seniors enthusiastically showcased their dancing skills to popular ' Baila' dance songs. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable, and the joy was infectious.

To add to the excitement, spot prizes were awarded to the winners of the various games and competitions held during the evening. The winners were overjoyed, and the cash prizes added to the festive cheer.

A sumptuous spread of delicious food and refreshments was also arranged, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by the Secretary of the club, expressing gratitude to all members, participants, and volunteers who contributed to the event's success.

The Christmas get-together event was a resounding success, providing a wonderful opportunity for socializing, entertainment, and celebration. The Senior Citizens Club - Derebail Church looks forward to hosting many more such events in the future.
