Konchady Lower Ward Celebrates Nativity and Teacher's Day

A get-together was organized on September 16, 2018 for the Ward Members of Konchady Ward at the residence of Mr. Sunil Dsouza at 05.00 PM.

Mrs. Pramila Dsouza welcomed the gathering. The ward meeting then followed. With the Parish Priest, Fr. Austin Peter Peres as the chief guest a cultural programme began at about 05.30 PM. The event was compered by Mr. Sheldon Crasta.

On the Ocassion of Teacher's Day, Parish Priest honoured 9 teachers of the Ward for their selfless service towards the society as a whole. Mr. Anil Patrao was then felicitated collectively by the Parish Priest, Gurkar and Ward Representatives for his constant support and dedicated service to Ward and Parish, on occasion of winning the post of Director of  the MCC Bank. In response, he thanked Ward members for their support.

The Parish Priest, in his message, appreciated the Ward Members for being active and taking iniatiative in the church activities time and again and congratulated Mr. Anil Patrao and wished all success for his new post as one of the director at MCC bank.

On the occasion of Nativity, new corn was blessed by the Parish Priest and all the Ward members had the same symbolically along with the dessert (Payasam), prepared by the Ward members. A total of 39 Members attended the get-together and ended with the birthday celebration of Master Cleon Menezes.
