One Night

Sitting beside a window pane

Thinking about my life in vain

Saw a bright star

Twinkling above in the sky afar

Oh! The star was not alone

But was accompanied by the moon that shine

I was glad to view this pair

And forgot my troubles with flair

Hope beautiful their bond would be

Unlike the rest on earth we see

The star sparkled whole night

The moon gleamed so bright

My eyes being fastened to sleep

Until a new day brightened a leap.
