Congratulations Dear Manish Pinto Back
Congratulations Dear Manish Pinto
Congratulations dear Manish Pinto (s/o Late Mr. Antony and Mrs. Ivy Pinto) for being selected for a prestigious 3-year professional theatre training programme at the renowned Intercultural Theatre Institute in Singapore. Manish has earned his spot after a highly competitive interview process held in Hyderabad recently.
The programme offers comprehensive training in various classical art forms, including Japan's Noh Theatre, China's Beijing Opera and Tai Chi, Indonesia's Wayang Wong, and India's Kootiyatam. In addition to classical techniques, the curriculum also comprises Contemporary theatre disciplines such as acting, physical theatre, voice modulation, and technical aspects of the stage. Manish is only the third theatre artist from Karnataka to be admitted to this programme since its founding in 2000.
An alumnus of Mandd Sobhann's theatre repertory Kalakul, Manish received the 'Artiste of the Year' award in 2019. A graduate of the National School of Drama (NSD) in Tripura, he has led multiple workshops in Tripura, Manipur, and Kashmir. He has participated in NSD's international theatre festival 'Bharat Rang Mahotsav', performed in over 20 plays in languages such as Konkani, Kannada, Tulu, and Hindi, and has directed four productions.
Through his achievements in theatre, Manish has shown that taking the road less traveled can lead to a fulfilling and worthwhile journey. His success serves as an inspiration for many young people to pursue career paths that aren't mainstream.
The parish takes great pride in Manish's accomplishments and congratulates him as he embarks on this exciting new chapter. We send him off with our heartfelt blessings and best wishes for the journey ahead.
Blessings and good wishes from Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis, Rev. Fr. Kevin D'souza, family, friends and Derebail parishioners.
