Catechism Teachers - A Service dedicated for our children in faith formation .
The role of Catechism Teachers and Catechist is vital in moulding children from 1st standard to Pre University Classes. These teachers help the children to recognise Christ, the Church, Sacraments, Faith, Prayers, Bible, Moral values and Etiquette. Through their life they become models for the children and thereby to the society at large. They take care of Children and coordinate among Teachers, Parish Priest and Parents.
The Catechism Teachers' Coordinator is Mr. Edward Coelho, Director is Fr. Austin Peres and Guide is Fr Gratian Alvares. There are twenty in the team at present. The Service is regardless and dedicated.
Catechism classes commence during June to February every year . The Class Timings 8.15AM to 9.15AM except first sundays.
Exams are conducted in the Semester System format in September and February. A Catechism Day programme is conducted towards the end of the Catechism academic year.
