YCS Inauguration 2017 - 18 Back

The formal inauguration of Young Catholic Students (YCS) was held on 25th June at 9.15 a.m mass. The office bearers walked solemly into the church followed by their animators n priests. The book was taken as a theme conveying the message that we have a purpose in life and a reason to exist. Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Austin Peres inaugurated the book by lighting the book. The newly elected office bearers took their oath in front of the Parish. Rev Fr. Austin Peres along with Rev Fr.Walter celebrated the Holy Eucharist.

The celebration was carried forward by a get together at the church mini hall where in Parish Priest Fr. Austin, Resident Priest Fr. Gratian Alvares and the Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mr. Edward Coelho were present. The programme began with a prayer song sung by Janice n group. The President of YCS, Mr Deon Cardoza welcomed the guests. The inauguration was marked by hand prints on a cloth by the youth.The message conveyed by our guests was to become like Jesus in everything we do that is by receiving,retaining and reflecting like him. The youth are the pillars of our church and in them lies the future. The vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of YCS, Ms Primal Furtado . The Master of ceremony for the programme was done by Delina D'souza. The YSD conducted group games followed by an ambrosial  meal. The youth had a gala time with baila as closure.
