YCS Beginners Camp 2015-16

The auspicious day of the YCS Beginners Camp came on the 23rd of August, 2015 when the YCS members of the City deanery of the Mangaluru Diocese met at Most Holy Redeemer Church Jubilee Hall. A total of 125 members from 10 parishes were present at the venue among the twelve parishes included in our deanary, which was led by their director Rev. Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo.


  The programme commenced at 9.30 a.m. The president of the programme were the denary director Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, the chief gues, Vice President of Derebail Parish Pastorial Council Mr. Anil Patrao , resource person for the day Mr. Norbert Misquith, deanery Animator Mrs. Helen Menezes , deanery President Mr. Denzil Machado were the dignitaries present on the dais. The programme began with a prayer service. All the dignitaries present, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo and the chief guest Mr. Anil Patrao addressed the gathering. The formal programme was hosted by Miss. Clerida D’Souza, the deanery secretary. It was then handed over to the resource person Mr. Norbert Misquith, who was introduced to the gathering by Miss Alreena. Later different groups were formed and various group activities, action songs were conducted. A training on “What is YCS?” was given by Mr. Norbert Misquith. Morning snack Puffs and Coffee were served after the talk. Then, a mass for the YCS members were held at 12.30 p.m. followed by lunch at 1.30 p.m. The camp continued with quiz, conducted by Mr. Rohan Vomanjoor.


The programme concluded at 3.15 p.m. with a vote of thanks by the city deanery president Mr. Denzil Machado. Afternoon snacks cold malt and biscuits were provided to the YCS students. Assistant parish priests of Bondel, Angelore, Kulshekar as well as Diocese YCS director Rev. Fr. Ronald D’souza were also present.
