Vanamahotsava by YCS Back
Vanamahotsava is a festival of planting saplings to spread greenery around the earth. The government has started a state wide drive “KOTI VRUKSHA ANDOLAN”. In support to the drive our Young Catholic Student (YCS) have joined hands together and have come forward with great enthusiasm in planting saplings.
The inauguration was done by Fr. Austin Peres, the Parish Priest, Fr. Gratian Alvares, and Vice president Mr Anil Patrao along with the YCS animators on 7th of August 2016 after the 9:15 mass at the portico. The pits for planting the sapling were kept ready on the previous day by the YCS members. All together, the ycs members along with the parishioners planted 70 saplings and 10 fruit bearing plants.
The members have promise to take care and nature these plants throughout the year.
