Survey Book Release And Farewell of Parish Priest And Asst Parish Priest by Yuva Spandan Derebail [Y.S.D] Back

The monthly meeting of YSD was held on May 17^th 2015 at 4 p.m in the Meeting Hall. Nearly 25 members were present for the meeting. The meeting started with a prayer song. President Mr. Sheldon Alvares welcomed the gathering.

The agenda was to release the Survey Book that was worked on from the month of October to December, which was headed by survey head Mr. Kevin Suares and Mr. Sheldon Alvares with the help of YSD and Parish Council members. The main aim of the Survey was to find out the aggregate number of unmarried youth between the age of 16 and 28 years who belong to Derebail parish. A detailed study about every individual was done. A total number of 450 youth were found recorded. The members who helped in the Survey were thanked with a gift as a token of gratitude.

Secondly, members of YSD bid farewell to both the Parish Priest Fr. Peter D'souza and Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Vinod Lobo. They were honored for the extended support and guidance given throughout their years of service in our parish.  Words of gratitude were spoken by YSD mentor Mrs. Carmelita Dsouza and YSD member Mr. Prajwal Sequiera. Fr.Peter takes the whole credit of establishing a unit for the youth of Derebail named "Yuva Spandan Derebail". Both the priests expressed their feelings and experiences felt with the youth. Work of youth was appreciated and they also gave words of wisdom and knowledge to make the unit better and work united for the betterment of the parish and all youths in particular. Miss Jennifer Pinto was wished by all as she celebrated her Birthday. Mr Avinash D'souza gave the Vote Of Thanks.

The meeting was concluded with prayer. And snacks were served for all the members present.
