I AM A COOL CATHOLIC – CAMP FOR LITTLE KIDS

It was a special Sunday 26.07.2015 for the little children of Most Holy Redeemer Church. The children had a lot of fun with CFCI members. Kids from STD 1, 2 and 3 enjoyed from morning 8.15 am till afternoon 12.30 pm.

Mr. Jerald Castelino welcomed the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Lobo, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Anil Patrao and the Secretary Mr. Edward Coelho. Fr. Anil Lobo asked the childen to participate in this camp with full enthusiasm.

This camp was initiated with the action Hymn “Boom Di Aara”.

The children were divided into 8 groups as per the animal names (i.e. Crow, Sheep, cat, Cow, Horse, Snake, Hen, Lion, Dog) written behind their Badge they had their group leaders to help them in their activity and to guide them. The Hall was filled with the sounds of animals. Refreshments followed.

The Camp was all about HOW ONE COULD BE A GOOD CATHOLIC. The CFCI members enacted a lot of skits to show the value of a true Christian. The Kids were taught not to laugh at the mistakes committed by others ,how to share things and how to behave in school… They enacted 4 different skits and played 3 - 4 video clippings to show them how to behave and share with their elders, teachers and friends, and not be partial, pray the daily rosary and to be like Jesus.The little children were taught many more action songs. They were also made to play games that highlighted the spirit of true sportsmanship. The kids responded well to all the questions that were posed in front of them.

Another refreshment break followed.The kids were then asked to draw challises picture and a crown cutting to be coloured and to be decorated.

The Camp concluded with a short prayer. Every child was delighted to have ice cream at the end of the programme.

The CFCI members were Andrea, Noam, Delora, Sharrol, Leona, Christi, Elrica, Loyd, Anna, Ruppel, Sera, Robin, Jokshith, Hansel, Farell, Avinash and Steffi.
