Catechism Day 2016 Back
The Catechism day at Most Holy Redeemer Church was celebrated on March 6th 2016 was indeed a beautiful day where all parents and children came before the altar for the meaningful Eucharistic celebration. Rev Fr Anil Lobo Asst Parish Priest celebrated the mass and we felt the divine presence of the holy trinity by the meaningful and thought provoking sermon by Rev Fr. Victor Vincent Menezes Parish Priest of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail.
After the mass there was a colourful cultural programme by the children from 1st STD to 6th STD, The mixed programme such as singing, dance, skits and Quiz added joy and thrilled the hearts of all. Everyone took active part in it. It was a fitting occasion to explore our children’s talents.
The dais was beautified by the presence of all dignitaries Rev.Fr Victor Vincent Menezes Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Anil Lobo Asst Parish Priest, Mr.Anil Patrao Vice President PPC, and Mr. Edward Coelho Secretary PPC & Catechism coordinator. Rev Fr. Anil Lobo welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr. Victor Vincent Menezes spoke a few words on “The Importance of Catechism in our Life”. Prizes were distributed to the students who maintained 100% attendance, toppers in the catechism exam and best work book done. A token of appreciation was given to the teachers for their voluntary service to conduct the catechism classes.
The programme ended with words of gratitude by Edward Coelho, Catechism Coordinator. People went back home relishing the ice-cream that was distributed.
